Hi Gillian,

I am 45 yrs. old, I am usually "on time", but some months it's light bleeding, and other months it's heavy (sometimes very heavy!)........and my girlfriend (who is 46) also has "crazy" periods.....she actually skipped a month or two....then her period came early...and it was VERY heavy for 12 days! she became very frightened, saw her dr. and he basically said "...no big deal", he told her it was hormonal and it would stop in a few days, and it did. So, yes, during menopause (and perimenopause) crazy changes happen.......don't worry.! let us know how it goes!
