Hi. Sorry for the delayed response but I don't visit this forum very often.
I'm not sure what you want to know.
I think I was always prone to developing PCOS. However, my ovaries became cystic as a direct result of clomid.
I am also insulin resistant.
By far the most important thing I am doing to help reverse both these problems is strenghening my liver by taking Chinese Bitters, Coptis and liver flushing.
I used to eat a lot of animal protein to balance my grains and it did work, however animal protein makes insulin resisance and PCOS worse in the long term (causes Gallstones and protein deposits in blood vessels.)
So,I eat mostly vegan now for several reasons. I can digest it better.PCOS and insulin resistance can be controlled by a diet high in fibre and low in saturated fat. Take a look at Andreas' forum. His books are very informative.
I'm still learning what is best for my body.I have no problems with my hormones - no acne/ mood swings/excessive hair/ovarian cysts etc My ovaries do ache sometimes because I've stopped taking the herbs .But I know a few more Liver Flushes will eliminate that problem.
I also avoid foods that elevate my oestrogen levels- sensiblehealth.com (this site tells you a lot about oestrogen disorders.)
Hope that helps.
