Just because something is fermented this does not mean automatically that it is bad for Candida. Kefir and sauerkraut are fermented, but their acids can control Candida. If you still want to avoid glutamine though you can use prebiotics and probiotics to build up the intestinal flora, which has also been shown to help leaky gut. You can also use yucca root, which controls Candida and reduces the inflammation of leaky gut.
