Hi..i stopped zoloft not tooo long ago after one year on it, and it was hell coming off. I immediately tried 5htp after reading Julia Ross's book, and it was awful too. After I spoke with my acupuncturist, I decided to try Sam-e because she said it will balance all my hormones and neurotransmitters(my period was sooo late and pms was wicked). All I can say is I felt relief in 2 days. I can't remember feeling so good and I highly recommend it. I take 400 mg in the am and be sure to take a b-complex vit. with it. Hope this helps.
