Wow I can definitely see what you mean.
Ive been researching this all weekend when i really should be enjoying myself on a 3 day weekend! :(
I found out there are 2 blood tests to look for and make sure they are done for HSV2 specifically.

the funny thing is only about after 4-5 days the raw soreness i had on the lip is already gone and does not hurt anymore to wipe. i make my own bodywashes as well and the 2 little bumps are still there but they are not sore or anything and they may be going away already.
i used raw ACV in my body wash with VCO and its the best wash ive ever used.
I also thought i would try a bit of UT therapy from what i read and no qualms about swalling a dropper full of my own liquid as well as soaking a cotton ball in some and applying to the area.
I am feeling some itching but not much but I also just started my cycle yesterday and I attribute itching to that which is pretty common for me.
I think what im going to do is go to Planned Parenthood and ask just for this test and they wont question why or anything. i'll pay cash for and thats it.
in the meantime i am not planning on being active anytime soon. if this is a scare for me, it most definitely will be the last which i hope.
i want to have kids someday and dont want to deal with the HSV issue of passing it on because i plan on having a natural homebirth w/out the doctors meddling in my business.
thanks for the responses and information.
I believe if there is a cure for Cancer then there should be a cure for Herpes.
i found this video discussing a cure

supposedly a "cure" is found by the Univ of Florida using Hammerhead Ribozymes that basically disable the virus and can never be passed on again. they are looking for funding right now.
