Hi Meganrose,

The feeling of heavy limbs is quite normal during a fast.  When I did my 21 day fast I'm thinking it was on or about day 5 that my arms and legs but mostly my arms started feeling so heavy it was a chore just to lift them.  I guess thats what you're experiencing now.  The best thing you can do is to lay down and rest. Do you have to work or are you in a situation where you can rest whenever you want?  I'll read your other posts to find out.

I didn't keep a detailed account of how I was feeling throughout my fast like Mouseclick did and I'm sorry now that I didn't because its a good idea to keep a record.  But I do remember the heavy limb feeling because it was such a strange feeling to me, never had that before but when I felt that way I just went to sleep or laid on the sofa with a good book to read and relaxed.

Believe it or not the feeling will pass, the weakness should pass also.  Some days I would feel weak and others I would feel full of energy.  I guess that has to do with how much detox is going on.

Regarding the cravings, I was over the cravings by day 5 but I think that depends on how toxic your diet was before the fast.  This too shall pass so don't worry about it, find something else to occupy your mind when the cravings hit.  I found that eating crushed ice helped me with them but I've read where you shouldn't eat ice on a fast but it did work for me with the cravings.  I think it was the chewing that mollified me.

Congrats on the 5 day mark, hang in there food will always be there when you're done.

Willow
