I spoke with a nurse friend about how the mirena chemical is supposed to remain localized in our uterus. She said that the uterus has a blood barrier so that would make it so. Does anyone know of this???
A thought I had was since our bodies are made of soft tissue, wouldn't it make sense that it could 'seep' through our organs, therefore getting into our bloodstream?
