I've been thinking for a while now, how much of this disease is caused and created in our mind? I don't mean in the sense that we are making it up, I mean that if we have negative thoughts and emotions, how does this affect our hormone levels and the health of our organs and balance of good and bad bacteria? I believe that the connection is very strong, at least in my own case. I started trying to get my health in order like most of us when my symptoms were spiraling out of control and I felt like I was barely able to lead a normal life. As I started healing my body, I realized that what really needing healing was my mind and spirit. The more I ponder this, the more I realize the importance of this connection.

The healing power of the mind has already been demonstrated through the use of placebos, hypnosis, and other methods. There is a ton of anecdotal evidence of people that have reversed cancer growth and overcome other diseases by sheer willpower.

I hear people on this forum all the time complaining how they have been suffering and searching and trying cure after cure with no success. I understand the pain you are going through. The first question you need to ask yourself is are you ready to let go of your pain? Of course everyone would say yes, but are you sure that you are not clinging on to your pain and suffering as something that you identify with. Search inside yourself, really decide that you want to be well. Then imagine yourself as a healthy individual. See yourself how you want to be, with a healthy immune system, everything working properly. I know all of this sounds a bit like a self-help class, but why do you think that self-help people use these techniques? Because they work.

I'm very interested to hear people's thoughts on this matter. I have really only touched on the surface of what I know about all of this.
