With my previous dentist, I occasionally complained of tooth pain and she would tell me I needed a root canal on that tooth. I changed dentists and the new one just shaved down the surface of the tooth where it had been hitting the opposing tooth. It's been fine for 10 years now. I wonder how many unnecessary root canals are done without thorough investigation?
Also, I had a different tooth extracted last year and the oral surgeon squirted some ozonated water in before sewing it up.
