Hi,
I just though I would post about my appt today with the NAET doctor of oriental medicine. He tested my body's reaction to hormones and combinations of them. It's done through muscle testing while holding glass vials of different hormones. I came back sensitive to Estradiol, FSH, Progesterone in combo with ACTH and borderline on DHEA. That was kind of crazy because it can all be explained-The FSH-I get IBS symptoms when I ovulate and this is high, The Prog. and ACTH-I think my adrenals are tired, and my DHEA blood test is low. So...he did some pressing on my back on certain accupuncture points while I was breathing a certain way and holding the vial of Estradiol. It is supposed to stop my body from reacting the way it does to this estrogen dominance, or whatever it is. I have to say I haven't felt this good in a long time. My head fog is almost not there and my energy is great, although I have also started adrenal support this week also. Before I even got off the table he said I looked like I was glowing and very animated. He actually had to interrupt me to tell me this because I was talking and gesturing and laughing. Wow! I told him I felt my body has plateaued since having the Mirena out 6 mos ago. He said this is the perfect time to see him because he can reset your body's "normal". No needles or anything. He used a vibrator device to "lock in" the adjustment on certain pressure points and then told me not to touch anyone taking HRT for 25 hours. He said 30% of people can have a euphoric rxn or negative, but if anything, mine was good.
Also, a note about candida. He has a stool test kit for it. I didn't even know they had a stool test. It costs $45 and then it rates you 1-5 with severity. Just a side note because My GI doc and surgeon don't believe in it. He said it's crazy because those docs don't believe in it until the person is in the hospital dying from it.
All in all, a good visit and I would highly recommend it.
