I am traveling overseas and frequently run into some pretty significant hair loss when I am here. The only factor that is common when I visit this country over the past 20 years is that I am drinking mineral water (the only thing available).

Is there any evidence that mineral water would be a contributing factor to female/male hair loss? And if so, is there any effective way of filtering out the heavy minerals, e.g. reverse osmosis?
