I think that's because most people are taking and/or eating so many different things, that it's hard to tell what's making symptoms worse or better. Also, yahoo and other private group discussions won't show up on google (or even yahoo searches). I remember seeing this study over a year ago, and it was a surprise to me as well.
The fact remains, as shown in this study, that magnesium, at least as a separate, isolated nutrient, stimulates candida growth.
Probably best to get one's magnesium from foods, where it interacts with other minerals and vitamins.
