One can become awakened without any particular religiosity being needed.This can be achieved by quieting the ego/ever functioning mind stream.Kundalini awakening is known for being the serpent that bites.So a little research into kundalini complications would be a wise action to take.Dr. Gabriel Cousens said be careful what you wish for with kundalini awakening.Stimulating spiritual vision without discipline can overstimulate ones nervous system and bring forth cursing on a new level.I truly hope you find what you are looking for and are blessed coming and going.Have you been indulging in meditation and have you studied the art of pranayama?Namaste.
