I've taken Colosan, which is an oxygen-based colon cleanser. You drink a glass of it and then follow that up with a cup of water into which you've squeezed half of a lemon, which starts the oxygenating process. It was working really well for the first few days, and then seemed to be less effective - either that or I was getting cleaner...not sure which. I never saw any ropes or mucoid plaque or any of that other fun stuff, though. I had many loose bowel movements, lots of rumbling, etc. I have the feeling that it would be highly effective if used along with enemas or colonics, which I did not do, or even deep massage, which I also did not do!
