Your comment: Can't say I have the answer ML but I do know it has happened in the past. I remember ohfor07 pointing out some posts several years ago that received over a thousand hits in a day or two, and on forums that don't receive high traffic. I thought it was a glitch but maybe they are linked to someplace.

Answer: If I am not mistaken I believe the Webmaster now has the ability to tell where the Hits came from and what IP addresses etc?
