Hi, I would suggest you get some virgin coconut oil, cold pressed, and give that to her. It is used in hospitals for sick babies and the elderly because it is a medium chain fatty acid and provides energy without being a strain on the body to digest. And it tastes good. There is a coconut forum here on curezone but more indepth information can be gotten at Dr.Mercola's web site, mercola.com by doing a search for coconut. There are excellent articles too at nexusmagazine.com and further information at tropicaltraditions.com which is where I bought my coconut oil. It has nutrients similiar to mothers milk and would be a good addition to her diet. Omie
