So, I went last week to get the Mirena removed. I told the nurse all of my symptoms and that I was concerned it was linked to the Mirena. She told the Dr (in the next room) and they were laughing about it. I just wanted to walk out right then. The Dr came in and said that it sounded like I had my mind made up so she's not going to argue with me. *Thank goodness*

Well, I didn't know that you weren't suppose to have sex 5 days before having it removed b/c you can get pregnant, so I had to reschedule. I went back yesterday and had it removed. I asked about the bleeding, and she said that I probably won't bleed until I have my period, which should be like it was before the Mirena was put it.
I asked her if I needed something since I thought my body wasn't having to produce much progesterone. She said that's not how it works. That my body is still producing the same amount b/c w/ the mirena it stays 'down there' she just pointed to her lower abdomen. She said that it's not suppose to be released into the blood stream so I won't have a crash....that everything is normal now.

So, she was no help. At least she took it out.
I am not on any form of birth control now, we'll just see how this goes. I've been extremely tired all day, minor cramping, and a mild headache (this is day 2). No bleeding yet...
