momo,
I had a major hemo flare-up from cayenne myself not too long ago. I know how awful that is. Here's Uny's solution...

"hemorrhoid fixer-upper" herbs.......The mix contains equal amounts of Slippery Elm Powder and White Oak Bark Powder..........to heal/eliminate both internal & external hemorrhoid flare-ups.
Here's a Google search on "oak bark + hemorrhoids" http://tinyurl.com/clbt8k
and here's a lot of information on Slippery Elm: http://healingtools.tripod.com/slpelmgrl.html
You can order Slippery Elm Bark powder from Mountain Rose Herb.

Basically, you can make a strong tea out this blend, soak a gauze in it and apply it to an external hemorrhoid, but better yet would be to make a thick paste and just pack it on/around the extrusion. If using it internally, you can make a thin liquid/tea and do small enemas, but it's MUCH more effective if you make it into the consistency of a 'thick chowder' and simply inject 1/4-1/2 cup rectally (it shouldn't leak out, and most will come out with your next bm). You can use an enema bag/bucket because it's so thick it won't go through the tubing. Okay, get ready to laugh...but the easiest way to do a rectal injection (and most easy to find?) is to use a turkey baster. The 'techincally correct' gizmo is called a rectal syringe...but honestly, you can pick up a turkey baster almost anywhere that sells kitchen stuff, and they are MUCH easier to fill than a rectal syringe...
To mix this wonderfully healing mixture, just add warm distilled water until it's the consistency that you prefer, and put it where the hemorrhoid is as often as you'd like. If you have any fresh aloe plants, adding gel from the inside of the leaves is even more healing :)
-Hope this helps!
