Anything put on the skin has 10X (ten times) the potency of what is taken orally. Many women with PMS
(Premenstrual Syndrome), Ovarian Cysts, Breast Cysts, Fibrocystic Breast Disease, Fibroids, Myomas,
Menstrual Migraines, Thinning Hair, Fat build up on the belly and hips, and Hypothyroid despite
normal lab tests have too much estrogen. John Lee, MD coined the term estrogen dominance to mean
a woman has too much estrogen. Anything put on the skin has 10X the potency of what is taken orally.
Where is this "estrogen" coming from? This extra estrogen is coming from cosmetics, lotions, shampoos,
and laundry detergent. These estrogens are chemical estrogens. The chemicals don't look particularly
like estrogen from a chemical structure point of view. However, the chemicals fool the body's receptor
into thinking that they are estrogen. Most cosmetics even many mineral cosmetics have chemicals in them that
pretend to be estrogen. Even most natural cosmetics have herbs that have estrogenic effects. These things
that are put on the skin is the source of too much estrogen.
Cosmetics (even most natural cosmetics and even most mineral cosmetics), lotions, shampoos, conditioners,
and laundry detergent are the source of these "extra estrogens".
The lab test for estradiol is normal for these estrogen dominant women.
Why is the lab test normal? But the woman is clearly exhibiting estrogen dominant symptoms. Because
you are testing for estradiol ONLY. The lab test does NOT meausure the chemicals that pretend to
be estrogen.
For instance, lavender is an herb commonly used in natural cosmetics. Lavender is estrogenic. So guess what?
The lab test measures estradiol. But lavender is the estrogen that is causing the estrogen dominance. The
lab test does NOT measure lavender levels. The lab test is NOT able to measure lavender levels. The
lab test measures estradiol. The lab test does NOT measure lavender. Lavender in the natural cosmetic
is causing the estrogen dominance, but is not measured by the lab test.
Why should you do a lab test?
Just use a mineral cosmetic or natural cosmetic without the estrogen pretending chemicals in it.
The problem was that most of our patients that did not do well and did NOT get well because cosmetic
they used had the estrogenic chemicals in it. Our customers begged us to make a website that
was prescreened with mineral cosmetics in it that does not have chemicals that pretend to be estrogenic.
So using stuff on your skin devoid of xenoestrogens (chemical estrogens) will make you less estrogen
dominant.
