Thanks ladies for all the info. You have all been sooooo helpful to me. I have been mirena free for almost 2 weeks and I have had heart palps only 3 times. That's a relief. They were happening pretty much daily. I was beginning to wonder if I was going to have a heart attack soon. I have had good days and bad days since removal. Next day started and it lasted for a week. My stomach seemed to deflate to about half of where it was. I was 6 months into this 2nd. mirena when I got hit hard with major bitchiness, anxiety, insomnia and depression. I was having sweats, nausea and actually had fainting. WTF! Having these symptoms, I was convinced I was entering menopause, but I am only 41. I made an appt with my OB and had it removed. I was told that I would not show signs of menopause while on the IUD, so I was confused. It wasn't until after removal that I discovered this site and I am convinced that many of my symptoms including back problems and thyroid problems(thyroidectomy/ Hashimotos Thyroiditis) were brought on by this IUD too. I have had so many of these symptoms and others over the past 6 years, but it never occured to me it was from the mirena. I have spent tons of $$$ trying to figure out what was causing my problems, but everything kept coming up negative. I think my answer is here. Glad it's gone. I can't wait to get back to the old me I was 6 years ago. I hope it will not take too long. Sounds like the longer you have the iud, the longer it takes to get back to normal (whatever that is.) Good luck to all. I'd love to know if anyone else had it this long and what symptoms occured after removal.
