Check your thyroid first. This should be done by basal body temperature, which is more accurate than lab tests. Instructions can be found on the internet. From what you mentioned this sounds like the most likely culprit. And being female and based on your age this is even more likely. Estrogen is an antagonist to thyroid function. So women are more prone to hypothyroidism than men, and menopause can lead to hypothyroidism due to the unopposed estrogen found in most cases of menopause.

If your thyroid is low then it may take some experimentation to treat it properly. There are so many causes of hypothyroidism, and they are not all treated the same. Iodine may work in some cases, but not always. You may need to cleanse the liver with bitters. Or address the adrenals. Or help with T4 to T3 conversion, or lower rT3 levels......
