It is distressing to hear about adults acting like children, I guess growing up is hard to do for some, and I am sure that their personal lives mirrors back to them a sad reflection of their core problematic issues.

It can be hard, but you will have to dig deeply and hug yourself through it all, and do it often every day. The answer is not quitting, they will go away, their balloon has been popped and now they are heroically fighting against the deflation (the emptying balloon), that will only end in a flaccid balloon..., and that is no fun.

Stay where you are, you may find at least one of them coming to you and saying sorry, and thankful to be out of that group (with their sad state of affairs). Put your head up, you have done nothing wrong, and everything right (by reporting them the way you did).
