Ah, good post! I agree with you 100% - as this is also my pet theory, down to the successive generations and everything. Except for me, I see the deterioration of the food supply as a large co-factor (in that, at least back when I was a kid in the 60's and 70's, we still ate mostly home cooked foods and the available junk foods were MUCH less prevalent. We got reasonable vits and mins. The mins especially play a huge role in the body's ability to remain intact. Recent generations, growing up on glorified cardboard flavored with high fructose corn syrup, have no reserves and thus are weak and easy prey for the microbes. We cannot last as a species for too many more generations unless this is fixed somehow, I fear.
I do wonder where you got this statement tho, as it is not my belief or understanding, and I know I and others have been helped with probies: "What's more, they won't even colonize the intestines, let alone displace candida from the mucous membrances. Contrary to advertising, all priobiotic bacteria are transient". Do you have a backup to that staement? I do realize that probies do vary in how effective they are from person to person, depending on other circumstances. . . but certain brands have been very helpful to my recovery. Thanks!
