Hummingbird Sage -

The best you can do without buying a "specific grinder" is a VitaMix...but they won't always "grind" as well as we'd like :(

They're pretty for hard roots & barks, and SOME soft leafy leafy herbs, but if the herb have 'threads of fiber', it won't grind the fiber (think alfalfa leaves and the like)

I always recommend the Vitamix 3600 Plus (or 4000), these are older versions with stainless steel canisters. The plastic vs. stainless canister isn't that big of a deal ("whatever" is not in them long enough to matter much), but what IS a big deal? You can find the original cider/juice press attachment, and turn the stainless Vitamix canister into a...drumroll please...TINCTURE PRESS!! WOOHOO!!

eBay: All current items matching VitaMix, Vita Mix, Vita-Mix, 3600, 3600 Plus, 4000. http://tinyurl.com/d5vt69

(There's currently one listed NEW IN BOX for only $285 - wow)

(These originally came with a nylon 'bag' for pressing, but the holes are too big for good tincture pressing)

There's only one press listed now, but generally I see 2/3 weekly (some weeks there's dry spells).

You can always go "new vitamix" and buy a separate tincture press...but doin' it this way will save LOADS of cash :)

(it's tough to get parts for the 3600...VitaMix still sells a lot of parts for the 3600 Plus/4000) But if you get one that's NewInBox, it'll last you a lifetime :)

Blessings :)
