Reading the research on astaxanthin as a sunscreen shows it is not as impressive as the marketing people will let you believe.

Check out Glisodin, an oral SOD formulation, research shows it can affect skin sensitivity with an SPF factor of 7.

Glisodin also positively affects mood.
I am a skintype 1 and using both with some encouraging results. I daily take 8mg total of astaxanthin and 1000 mg total of SOD.
