In general, do all tinctures (given the proper amount of alcohol-to-liquid ratio) bypass the digestive sytem?

What happens if you mix it with food or juice? And, how about water? If you dilute it enough and skew the alcohol to liquid ratio would it still bypasses the digestive system?
