My experience with mucous comes from
long term fasting and it can present
itself as clear and akin to watery
snot. If you are not adequately hydrated
then it is more sticky.

Certainly, if you are experiencing
other digestive concerns it could be
from inflammation or other issue
related to bowel health itself.
