your condition looks very painful, I hope you can find a way to contain it soon.

I'm one of the guys who ended up shaving, and was lucky that it helped me out immensely. However, although my scalp has become almost infection free (I still shave 3-4 times a week), the infection spread to my nose and face.

Manuka Honey has been a big help for me. It's definitely not a cure, but it has helped in areas where the infection wouldn't clear up.

I bought the strongest one available (30+), and put it on my face at nighttime, or on my scalp, and covered it with a hat/cap.

I definitely recommend trying it out at least for a few days, and seeing if it helps contain the symptoms, and eases your pain. It's natural, and when I researched it, I never read about any side effects.

If you try it, I would suggest trying to leave it on your entire scalp for 24 hours, by using a hat or cap, or at least through the night.

It's expensive, but it lasts a very long time, as you only need to apply a very thin layer.
