Blood pressure doesn't work that way. It's not like "your BP has reached 40 ... BOOM you're dead.

How old was he? What was the reason for his low BP? How long did this go on for? What medical conditions did he have?

"I'm sorry to have to tell you this Mrs Johnson, you're husband died of low blood pressure".
