Yes, 95 pounds. I have been pushing at this 100 barrier for some time and tried to crash through it late last year when I did that longer fast, but at the end I had a pain in my kidney, and felt that the fast was really taking it out of me. So I decided to give it a break for a while, then it shot up so easily over Christmas because of a few problems with my family and other things. It was sooo easy to do, I think mainly because of my metabolism.
I could fast one day a week, I have even thought of intermittent fasting, but I don't then think I would have as much energy for the gym if I did that, and that keeps my metabolism up, so I'll probably stick to my "ain't broke don't fix it" attitude with the odd grumble now and then. Although it feels like being stacked up at Heathrow, I know a few months is not long. After all it took me years to put this on and your body cant make such big changes overnight. I might try the odd fast one day a week though if I see any stagnation. That's my reserve weapon. But first I might just give up the little excesses.
And I am overweight, I can pinch off lots of fat on my waist. We have all got used to seeing big people, and now someone normal looks skinny. My body fat percentage is around 23.5%, showing as a "too fat" on my scale. I'll be content when I have a flat tummy and no bouncy bits on the treadmill.
If your partner is tall, the Body Mass Index is not so good, it tends to give an artificially high reading. That's what my tall friend says, and he is about BMI 29 too, and quite healthy. But I am only 5' 6". Thanks for your comments.
