The problem with loose skin arises following too a quick weight loss, which can cause streches due to low skin elasticity.
As far as I know, and that's my experience, it's very important to keep your skin clean and moistured.
Since I was a teenager, I've been rubbing my skin daily with a scourer when having a shower (yes, a very rough one such as those used for the washig up or to take insects off your car windscreen. I find loofahs are too mild for me. Occasionaly I mix some shower gel with salt or sugar.
Then, after a shower I used to put a moisturizer, but over the last few years I've only used pure sweet almond oil. I think that's the best. It's not too greasy and it spreads quite well.
I started to use it during pregnancy, when I put on 2.3 stones and lost about 3.2. As a result I do not have one single strechmark on my tummy and very few on my thighs but only because my weight has gone up and down many times in 30 years.
