Hey Ollie!
Take a look at my response to Shelleycat's post below - these are intense times indeed and you're in tune!
I found that article in the Mountain Astrologer and I'm going to type some of it out - it's very interesting and will shed light on all Lunar Eclipses and this last Scorpio Lunar Eclipse which has a huge effect on everyone - but especially individuals with Scorpio planets and/or a strong Pluto in their charts.
I won't type the whole article out - just the pertinent parts...

The Spring Eclipses: A Season of Change
by Maya del Mar
On May 4th we experience a total lunar eclipse at 14degrees Scorpio - Taurus, visible where it is night.
Eclipses take place about every six months, more or less across from one another in the zodiac. They usually occur two weeks apart in pairs - one New Moon solar eclipse and one Full Moon lunar eclipse (though not necessarily in that order.)
Eclipses mark major periods of change in the sign polarity and the house polarity they span. A particular polarity lasts 18 to 24 months. Activities and attitudes in the house(s) where an eclipse occurs are certain to undergo changes during that period, even if you have no natal planets closely aspecting the eclipse. Check your own natal chart for eclipse placements over the years, and the changes from house to house will stand out clearly.
An eclipse is a disruption of the normal electromagnetic field of the Sun, Moon and Earth - a shift in the vibrations of the energy field in which we live. Concomitants on Earth, whether spiritual, emotional, social or physical are often eclipsed. One obvious example is the preponderance of physical deaths that occur around eclipses. But many far more subtle things also pass away - to make room for new growth. An attitude that has been holding us back from a new step may dissolve, and suddenly a move that has seemed impossible is now viable. Doors close and other doors open.
Special events often happen around the time of an eclipse. But they can happen before or after - most commonly within two weeks, three months or six months. (*quite the window!*) Solar eclipses, in fact, sensitize points for years.
There are many available clues to decipher an eclipse. The usual astrological placements are descriptive - the sign, the house placement, and close aspects in the chart.
Eclipse sign polarities move backward through the zodiac, and sign polarities most commonly overlap. These spring eclipses are in Aries (polarity=Libra) and Scorpio (polarity=Taurus). Both of these signs are ruled by Mars, so we know that assertive action dominates. (*Mars is co-ruler of Scorpio along with Pluto)
The solar eclipse of April 19 is the first eclipse in this center in the Aries-Libra polarity, which is about balance, particularly balance of power. These Aries-Libra eclipses will last through March 2006.
The Taurus-Scorpio eclipses began in May 2003 and will end in April 2005. In 2003, we had a transit of Mercury over the Sun at 16degrees Taurus on May 7 and a total lunar eclipse at 16degrees Taurus/Scorpio on November 8th (*this was the Harmonic Concordance!! So think back to then and bring that energy forward because it is connected with this Scorpio-Taurus Lunar eclipse we just had...all connected!*) Both of those events work in tandem with this May 4 lunar eclipse at 14degrees Scorpio. The Taurus-Scorpio polarity is focused on energy and resources and their transformation.
These two spring eclipses work together, and they are effective as a New Moon and a Full Moon, too. The New Moon in Aries is an initiator. The Full Moon in Scorpio wants us to create something tangible from these beginnings. This combination emphasizes courage, assertion, new beginnings, working with others, and dealing with material resources, including money. This is true for all of us.
In general, eclipse changes move us forward on a path we are already treading. Look at your chart, check back into your history, and discover what they are doing for you.

I highly recommend the magazine The Mountain Astrologer - it is jam packed with amazing articles - beginner to advanced. I always realize how much more there is to know when I read it! ack. It's a nice surprise in the mail every 2 months...
Discussion anyone?
This Scorpio-Taurus Eclipse stuff is definitely linked to the Venus/Pluto opposition we're feeling now and will feel during the next 8year Venus Transit....whew...transformations abound! Interesting that the Aries-Libra eclipses just started - propelling and encouraging us to take the leap and Transform!
