Here again is a case of whats good for animals is often good for people. I had a very skittish mare and she would fret if I wasn't there and get very anxious if she had to be handled by a vet or farrier etc. She injured herself, (in one of her states of high anxiety) and the vet said that I had to keep her calm and quiet to heal. This was a daunting task with this mare. I spoke to an old horse breeder about what to do, he suggested a particular formula for her, which consisted of B vitamins, magnesium and vitamin C, (sound familiar). This powder was added to her feed and the change was nothing short of stunning.
Why oh why do we think we are immune to the need for vitamins and minerals????? Why do we think because its a fancy drug, thought up by a scientist, that this is better for us than the remedies used for generations to benefit humans and animals. We need to apply a little Occams razor to our thinking sometimes, the simple answer is often the right one.
