I was just reading Newport's post about that very thing. Why chelating mercury stirs up Lyme's, why killing Lyme's releases mercury. I don't know what would be worse. Not chelating mercury while killing Lyme's, or not killing Lyme's and chelating (especially with the type of chelating that causes big bunches of mercury to be released at once).
