You missed the part about where chlorite is formed by the reaction of chlorine dioxide on water. Chlorine dioxide is actually a gas, not a liquid. So what is really being bottled is chlorite. Even the website points this out:
http://mmsmiracle.com/
"Ingredients: 28% Sodium Chlorite Solution"
It does sound like you know enough about water treatment though to know that the THMs are produced by the reaction of these chlorine compounds on organic material. When talking about about water treatment there is a lot of pretreatment that is going to limit the amount of organic materials present before chlorination of any kind. This is VASTLY different than someone taking Miracle-Mineral-Supplement with food, herbs, or even medications in their stomach. Do you have any studies showing the same low levels of THMs in people's tissues after taking Miracle-Mineral-Supplement with any of these organic substances.
A few other things must be kept in mind. First of all THMs are fat soluble and accumulate in the body. Many poisons are cumulative and do not cause problems in the short term, but can lead to problems long term as they build up in the tissues. And there is the added absorption from what is present in our tap water that absorbs through the skin. I will stick to ozone or peroxide, which I know is safer.
I am still wondering how many people here are willing to drink tap water? After all it is also treated with chlorine dioxide forming chlorite. If the answer is not then I would like to know why. Tap water has chlorite, and in addition has beneficial minerals. And it is super inexpensive. So why not just drink tap water if you want to ingest chlorine compounds?
Yes, I did find the article. I was at the University library and ran across the journal in their used book sale. So I bought the journal for a few of the articles in there that I was interested in. I was really intrigued by that one especially since we were always taught that chlorine kills all pathogens in water. I later found other medical references that also found that chlorine did not kill the polio virus in the presence of feces. The research is out there. Just requires some looking.
