Thanks Mr Moreless

Because the uristix mentioned the testing of proteins and nitrites, I was hoping
that the product could help in testing the body’s digested NPNs.

But anyway, why spend money when watching for bubbles, smelling for amonia,
using a refractometer, using h2o2 for soaking veggies, and using Epson salts can
all help control NPNs? I wanted to know if there was an easy direct “scientific”
way.

My thinking was if the protein testing was really just testing for nitrogen
(that is what I suspect), then the uri sticks could also be an additional tool.
But I could not find anything describing how exactly proteins were being
detected. From other reading on protein testing on animal feeds, it was often
mentioned that the nitrogen content was what was really tested. But just to
satisfy my curiosity I will try to find more.

Re-reading what I found so far about the urine testing, it seems that if one is
positive with the sticks, then one is already having serious health problems.

As for your NPN post about gout, I have no problems believing the poor quality
of produces. A lot, if not most of the veggies that I find in groceries are
imported. The last time I wanted to buy lemons, not only the lemons were
expensive, but they also had their extremities green! No need of a refractometer
to test them. I didn’t buy any. So, I haven’t used lemons in my drinks for quite
a while.

My gout problem is under control. Prior months of March used to be tougher on
me. This March was relatively ok.

Also, at the area where I work, I was probably about the only one who didn’t get
a flu/cold in the last few weeks. It seems that the flu that people got was a
tough one to get rid of. Cheers for the ML alkalizing drink!

Thanks

Cheers
