Human beings, by nature, are very social creatures. As a result, the need for support and companionship is very important for one's well being. If you are a recluse and believe you are happy being so, then to each his own. By nature, I'm a strong introvert but that doesn't mean I want to shut myself off from other people. It means that I want and need my alone time but unlike an extrovert, don't need it constantly. I do find myself enjoying being in the company of others and having a good laugh and/or a good discussion.
