I came here today to find some little thing that would help me understand what I am going through right now. Your last post echoed my exact feelings to the T. I don't wish feeling this way on anyone but it is comforting to know that I am not the only person that feels the way I do. This gives me hope that things can get better. Does that sound odd to you? Maybe that is why you are writing the book.

Feeling hopeless and helpless and that no one cares what you say or do IS the worst sign of Depression I can think of. I never used to be this way but a couple of years of seriously stressful events, overwork, DH dx'd with stage 4 cancer and my elderly mother coming to live with me for 6 months did not help me at all. Having her here with me did bring back all those painful memories that I had conveniently hidden underneath a sea of forced smiles and busyness.

This entire post has made me cry not only for the old woman and her dog that died but for 83128, you, Zoe, me and anyone else out there feeling this way. I think I am going to take your wise advice and write my own little book of sorts. That should help get out all those feelings from my childhood that I thought were already dealt with.

Funny how certain people love the company of dogs. Dogs don't lie about love nor do they lie about how they feel about things. They also live for the moment, like it is the last day on earth for them.

So finish that book and know that there are so many people out there that WOULD love to read it for it would reach their soul.

And to 83128, we who have walked this path are ALL soul mates. There are people that come into your life for a purpose, even for a brief moment and yes, even online like this. I do believe that "this too shall pass" and that we are all going through this for "some" reason which is not clear to us now but it well may be in the future.
