I did some further research and experimented a little bit since my post:
I read that letting the moonlight in your room during the full moon nite and the 3 following nites can help you to sync your period with the new moon (and therefore ovulate with the +/- full moon). If you live in a very light poluted area you can use artificial light to simulate it. I did that and this month has not worked just slightly, ...well, in fact I had a Liver-Flush just before so I think this is omething to take into account. I am planning to do it again and see if little by litter I can achieve it fully. I found it quite an experience to sleep with the moonlight reflecting on the walls!
As you said, the advantage of not having to bother with dates is a plus..I've never been good at that and it always caught me by surprise.
