I rarely eat salt these days, but was at a friends house last night and accepted some rather salty home made vegetable soup.

Next morning, got up, despite what is normally a steady weight loss I was 2 pounds heavier. Googled it, and found consistent reports that it was the salt http://www.google.com/search?q=salt+weight+gain

It's no major disaster, it's not fat and it should come off soon, but this may be of interest for those people who wonder why they put on weight or get other peculiar blips on their scale.
