Iodine supplementation is not so simple a subject and shouldn't be undertaken unless you research it thoroughly

The effect on the kidneys is due to bromide displacement and can be dealt with. I myself never had this problem and have taken the recommended 50 to 100 mg with no other lasting problems just the odd spot and fatigue to begin with.

I suggest you research it more
