If your Boyfriend's tests come back negative also, the doc should be able to tell you what it is.
Did you go to a gynecologist or a regular GP?

Buy a zapper - it will put the virus in remission, and used regularily you may go for years without having and episode with it. Times of stress however may bring it on anyway.
