For me, nuts are a no-no. Maybe because I have had candida for over 10 years and the symptoms are severe, but everytime I try just a tablespoon of walnuts or almonds, the itches come back big-time. The best thing is to be in tune to your body. If the symptoms reappear or get worse when you eat nuts, stay away from them.
Two reasons to avoid nuts -- they harbor molds and they are a carb food. Here is a way to get rid of the mold before you eat them:
"note: spray all nuts and seeds with a solution of 15-30 drops grapefruit seed extract in 2-cups water or soak them for a few minutes to remove any aflatoxins molds or fungus that may be present."

I soak nuts for 10 minutes in the solution above, then drain the nuts and put them in the food dryer or an oven on low heat until they are crisped and dry.
