Belle,

I believe your concerns are no concern at all.
If a forum isn't valuable, it isn't going to be popular and for the most part it will die.
There are plenty of those on Curezone.
So anyone with something to offer is going to see an active forum.
The concern may be more that people fully capable of having a forum would be the ones believing that they aren't going to be able to do a good job.
People with vision of what is possible tend to believe that they are never doing good enough.
You see that in many great artists.
