I'm not sure what research you are reading, but N-acetyl L-cysteine and N-acetylcysteine are essentialy identical anti-oxident and liver cleanse and precursors to Glutathione. L-Cysteine is just the more stable version of Cysteine that's converted to L-cysteine as needed by the body. Supplemental forms of NAC therefore use L-cysteine instead. I'm not sure how one will promote facial hair growth (and no where else, as in selective hair growth?) over the other, or at all, since it's not a hormone. It is found in skin and hair, but creating growth where none now exists is not a feature of NAC. But it does promote collagen for better skin texture. Could you source your info? This doesn't sound right.
