Maverick, I think your replies are a lot better than mine, but thanks for the compliment.
Now I have another question for you, ha ha!
Since I have been on this plant based diet, I am getting a bit like this guy http://www.diseaseproof.com/archives/gerald-puglieses-story-healthy-with-a-ve...
I was once fatter than him, I am doing well but I am still a pit podgy and not firing on all fours, not quite yet. But I need to - fast. Reason being is that when I applied for my gym membership 2 weeks ago, I noticed they were doing free training for lifeguards because of the Olympics coming to in London, and I have a job interview for a lifeguard on 1 April. But I have to pass a swim test, 50 metres front crawl in 50 seconds, 2 minute rest, and then 50 metres freestyle in 60 seconds. Currently I am taking 80 seconds on the breast stroke (part 2) and can't do front crawl properly. But this doesn't put me off, I can learn the technique.
Now I will get that fit one day, and I am not going to burst into tears if I don't pass the test, because I can still do it later if I want, and I have other work coming up anyway.
The question is simply can I get fit for that so quickly? I have virtually unlimited time for training, I spent 2 hours doing cardio today and 45 minutes weights.
It's a challenge. What do you / anyone think is the best way to get to be a faster swimmer in 2 weeks? I may as well forget the weight loss at this stage and go for fitness, but I will stick with plant based food.
I will also get some swimming technique lessons.
Thanks
Steve
