Hello,
I really enjoyed reading your reply to my post. There's a lot of food for thought in it.
You're probably right about the broth, so I've changed my plans a bit. What is your thought on doing alternating water fast, juicing, and protein shakes?
Also, I guess I didn't explain myself too well with regards to losing the forty pounds that I need to lose. The three weeks of fasting is just a beginning point for me. I'm hoping to lose about 22-25 pounds in the three week period, and then I would like to begin eating very lightly again. I want to stick with a low-cal diet(mostly fruit and veggies)after that, possibly fasting once or twice a week on a regular basis and try to lose the remaining 15 or so pounds in a couple of months after this fast. I just wanted to jumpstart my weight loss because I always do best when I can see results right away, and I'm hoping the large amount of weight I lose during the three weeks will motivate me to stick with a good eating plan and lose the rest of the weight needed.
Anyway, sorry I didn't explain my goals very well in the first post. I would love to lose forty pounds in three weeks, but I know that's definitely pushing it!
Thanks so much for your response, and let me know what you think about the protein shakes. I was reading about an extremely overweight doctor who lost weight by doing protein shakes for a long period of time. He lost close to 200 lbs doing that, and he's kept it off. That was a great encouragement for me to read.
Hope to hear from you again.
