I'd just like to point out that they have to choose, when they come of age, if they want to join the church. They have to choose if they want to live as an Amish person. They have the option to leave.

The only "socialism" or "communism" that works is the voluntary system, where virtually all the people are willing participants.

This is very different than the government of an entire country having a system of wealth redistribution!
