>The effect of the different astrological influences on our

Being a professional scientist I would like to see the
hard Science behind any astrological conclusions. Where may
I find a bibliography of the research and any statistics that
may exist? What statistical studies have been performed
that would robustly verify astrological prediciton?

>Each of the planets represent an electromotive force and

How do planets represent electric potentials? I thought
it was supposed to be gravimetric influences that were
assigned to the planets.

>their degree of influence and energy will depend on the
>time, place and date of birth.
>Different variations of this force / energy

Force and energy are 2 totally distinct concepts.
Which is it?

>The planetary interactions have a very great influence on
>our mind and the ability to motivate us so that we can
>progress in life. It is a well established and recognised
>fact that when there is a new moon or full moon, many
>people go through some physical problems like the natural
>changes that occur in the rivers and oceans.

Such as? If you are referring to anomalous behavior
displayed by humans during full/new moons.... that has been
rigorously debunked. There aren't any more murders, births,
whatever during a full moon than any other time. That's an
urban legend/popular misnomer. Please feel free to
investigate if you don't believe me.

>Many of the large rivers expand in quite uncharacteristic
>ways during the full moon and also on new moon days.

This is incorrect. Large bodies of water behave in
accordance with the Navier-Stokes equations for incompressible
flow. The laws of mechanics are time independent and the
tides and flows of rivers/oceans are remarkably predictable.
There is nothing anomalous about flow during the changing
phases of the moon and Galileo was able to *calculate* the
tides with remarkable accuracy.
If you were able to show that water flowed against a
gradient during a full/new moon that would be one thing. That
never happens.

>Our individual mental situations vary as different
>planetary interactions take place onto our birth time
>planetary positions, and this can lead to either mental
>and physical difficulties or well being.

Why doesn't the physical presence of the Dr. delivering
me @ birth have an influence? His/Her influence, in terms
of electrical, magnetic and gravitational forces, swamp any
influence by the planets. See the inverse square relationship
of gravity(Newton's universal law of gravitation),
electricity(Coulomb's law) and magnetism(Savart's law) for
verification. The glass of coffee on my desk has a greater
influence on me than the planet saturn(just to pick a planet
out @ random).

>It is strongly believed that our life and health are governed
>by our astrological signs.

Where can I find evidence? A strong belief doesn't make
it true. People used to believe that the earth was flat. That
persistent belief didn't make the world flat. So what do you
offer other than your *belief* that this is true?
I'm trying to keep an open mind but every time I try to
verify something all I ever get referred to is someone's
belief.

>The Sun represents positive health and people with the
>strong support of the Sun as well as Venus can generally
>get cured from difficult illnesses and even from cancer.

Ok... I was willing to keep an open mind up until I
read this. I really want to stay within the posted guidelines
for forum etiquette... but are you kidding me or what? Cure
cancer with astrology? That's the most absurd thing I've
ever heard. Where is your evidence Dr. ?
I dont' know what kind of Dr. you are but if you've
reached the hollowed position of PhD (or MD perhaps) you've
certainly been exposed to experimental design and hypothesis
testing(unless your doctorate is in English).
How would you design a study to show me astrology can
cure cancer? Make no mistake.... *you* have made the claim
so it now becomes incumbent upon you to provide evidence for
this preposterous claim. What independent evidence supports
your claim?

>Mental purity and stability is extremely important
