I have read through forums that a lot of people have a hard time with thyroid meds. Many people complain that they don't work. So maybe that's what's going on with your weight gain while on the new meds? It must be very frustrating.
On the Iodine forum there are many posts of people that are able to get off their thyroid meds after supplementing with Iodine for a while. It might be worth a try.
Today is day 12 for me, but my hands and feet have gotten cold again so I'm trying another form of Iodine tomorrow. Iosol. We'll see how I do on that.
I am 5'5" and I could still use to lose another 5-10 lbs.
I have gotten to where I can't cope with stress very well and I'm tired of being cold all the time so I have high hopes that my thyroid troubles can be corrected with Iodine. Last month I tried using progesterone cream and adding 2 Tb of nutritional yeast to some juice everyday, but I didn't notice any significant changes unfortunately. I had read about that remedy in a women's magazine.
I am sleeping better since starting the iodine and my emotions seem a little better. I feel more calm and cheerful.
Let me know how things go for you. Take care and best of wishes!
